I'm starting to get it…

My numbers are edging downward, I don't know if its the meds, diet, vitamins or supplements, I do need to exercize more though. If I take a brisk walk for 40 minutes my number is the same after as it was before. I was hoping to see a difference.

Diabetes really is the anti logic disease isn't it? I was under the impression (silly me) that the universe was more organized.

Having Diabetes seems to me to be more like being the child of an alcoholic. You can't be certain whats going to happen at any moment, it changes on a daily basis, you try to anticipate whats going to happen to avoid pain but the results vary from day to day, what works one day doesn't work the next.

and like a child of an alcoholic if you are not careful you wind up feeling like you are walking on eggshells 24/7 depressed and nuerotic.

7 years last month here. Ups, downs, insulin, no insulin, pills no pills back to insulin, anger, depression, more anger, gave up, tried to start all over, gave up again…3rd time trying, pills again this time with no insulin, isn't working but I keep swallowing the horse pills and wondering why no insulin yet, doctor's come, doctor's go, some help, some don't the only constant is the Big D (and I'm not talking divorce).

I certainly can relate to what your saying. Sometimes it feels like I do everything right and my bsg goes up for no reason. It can get so frustrating.

I can drink a glass of diet root beer, no problem, or have a scoop of sugar free vanilla ice cream, no problem, mix the 2 and make a boston cooler and my sugar jumped up to 260 and I felt lousy until I had a glass of metamucil. go figure…

Boy, your lucky, it changes day to day. My diabetes changes minute to minute! :)

I can't stay away from the Math!! And the Diabetic problems have many 'solutions'. But for me, tracking and finding proof of that works for us, and keeping it a constant, is what is hard!
