Summer vacations can be so hard on the body

I don't want to come across as complaining because I love summer and vacations and wouldn't give them up, but man they are sure taking a toll on my body this year. With all of the running around and lack of schedule I have let my diabetes care slip along with just overall health. My body is now finally catching up with me and I sure do feel it. I am just dragging. Does anyone have any good remedies to rejuvenate and get back on track?

I've found that making sure to get enough sleep makes a huge difference in both physical and mental energy, and especially during the long sunny summer days it's easy to skimp on sleep. ~Lynn @Glucerna

I know what you mean, but my job is killing me, I drive a delivery truck with no a/c, and it gets hot, plus have to fight traffic every single day. I just come home and sit down check a few e-mails, then I eat some veggies, fruit, drink plenty water, and clear my head, I play a couple games on my laptop, but I can use a few days off just to sit around and do nothing.

Yea… just create a summer schedule now,
Readjusting ;).. my friend. And always know ur numbers. Eat to live proactively and be smart fitness.. Walk very lengthy,.. and make a difference for urself and other by u ;)??? u r always an example maker.. consider lots of high fiber salads, eat sweets in mod. eat lots of protein beef possibly and always keep ur Dr. in the know? And have "sweet summer" fun!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yeahaaaa!!!!!! And never look back Jeanette Terry

I know wake-up calls get my attention. They are not usually vacations, but it seems that is what you had. Finding out what it is that you don't like about where you are is a good place to start. Being specific with one thing to start with helps me get my focus back where it needs to be. When I take on too many things at once, I tend to get overwhelmed and give up and have to start over.

So was it your levels, your aches, your tireness...etc? Pick one thing and find a way to make that better. Other things will follow. can drink from the fountain of youth. LOL
