This is 10 years old, nothing has changed just he does more now.

He promotes cures that just wont hold water for the masses, like corn syrup as a cure for arthritis. The downside is he does say some good stuff from time to time, like ALA for neuropathy which does work for a lot of people. Unfortunately that is not the norm.

Just go to the American Diabetes Association boards and search for Julian Whitaker and you will get all the info you need.

I've been a subscriber to ACSH for years, and look to them for "the rest of the story" when it comes to junk science and outrageous nutritional news hype. I had never heard of this doc, nor would I have believed his promises, but thanks for the reprint. Linus Pauling enevtually backed off his Vit C claims. His library was left to Oregon State U which now forms the basis for the Linus Pauling Institute, that focusses on nutritional research as an adjunct to the College of Health and Human Sciences.

Yeah, I posted that for my mom. She was curious about this guy. I personally think he is just selling his books, but I have not read them, so I don't know if they are any good. Has anyone used his books? I had one fellow in the other discussion say that he subscribed to his newsletters.

Thanks for the info. I am skeptical when things sound too good to be true. Can always count on answers from the community
