I have not been on here for awhile. My diabetes had swirled out of control and I need a doctor today. I am sure my A1C is up and I am scared because it is a new doctor. I am sure I will get the same speech…I have not been in touch with my nutritionist. I think my depression is hindering me… ugh, today is going to be a not so good day…

I can't say much about seeing a new doctor, but having just come off a "vacation" myself a few months ago, I know where you're coming from. My advice is deal with the depression first. Talk to your family doctor about it. Leaving it the way it is will hurt you just as much as your a1c. Be open to the idea that you may need medication for it, it's like diabetes… Our bodies don't make enough insulin, so we need insulin. Sometimes we don't make enough hormones to be able to properly regulate our moods, so we take medication for that.

With your depression being managed better, you will likely find yourself better able to cope with getting your blood glucose levels back under control.

Howdy Splitpea
Yes things look bad for you, but this is a new Dr and you have no idea what this Dr is like. Who knows? Perhaps this Dr will be able to get things under better control for you.

If your depression is hindering you, this may be the time to mention this to Dr and perhaps either a antidepression med may be in order and/or some talk therapy.

Praying all goes well for you today.
