Since I was very young (along time), i have not been able to eat yogurt. It leaves a very unpleasant aftertaste in my mouth. When new yogurts came out I would try them but to no success. Many new healthy recipes call for yogurt. Any suggestions for an alternative? Fruits and additives doesn't change the aftertaste.

You can also use smooth tofu or ricotta cheese instead of yogurt in recipes. If you don't tolerate dairy, perhaps the tofu will be a good substitute. ~Lynn @Glucerna

sour cream, buttermilk and super blended cottage cheese are often used as substitutes and will deliver many of the nutritional benefits of yogurt … other than the buttermilk you will miss out on the probiotics that are present in live culture yogurts.
ever try kefir? guessing if you don't like the taste of yogurt kefir probably won't work either
