Hey everybody,
I know at times our disease brings us down and bumps in the road, but there are people like Sierra Sandison.
People who show all of America that diabetes doesn't hinder success and achievement if you don't let it. Good luck in Atlantic City Sierra!

With the insulin pens so much easier to travel than it was even ten years ago. I carry a Dr. note for the Airport peeps…so I don't get searched for drugs.

Have you gotten stopped before? I just recently started to carry a doctor's note, but haven't ever had a problem before. I think they see so many diabetics/supplies, they know what is legit and fake.

No, i wasn't stopped at DIA, but I was in Fargo, N.Dakota, so I use it for prevention. I keep all my insulins with me, I have lost baggage before. Keep your Dr. info in your phone and the pharmacy number. My late husband was a T1 and we had to keep the insulin chilled etc…regular needles, that's what got people searched. It go to the point he didn't want to fly so we didn't.
