Hi Freddy yes I tried Plavix and had a reaction, therefore, coumadin is working for me.
On the list of foods to avoid it lists all the salad makings.
lettuce of all kinds, brussel sprouts, all green leafy vegies I do like salads and try to keep them at a mim of once a week
also found out that Glucerna ups the blood count for my Coumadin. Safe area 2. went up to 5. after drinking the Gloucerna meal shake. do you have your blood tested every month or every 2 weeks because of taking plavix?

Hi Junebug, I have mine tested once a month and everything is fine. I eat a salad every day because I am on a low carb meal replacement program. I wrote about it in a recent post. The program is perfect for diabetics as it is supervised by over 15,000 doctors and health coaches nationwide.
I'll only be on plavix another 3 months as I had 2 stints implanted in my aorta and it was mandatory to have a blood thinner for a year.
If you are interested in reading about this remarkable program then by all means

Hi Junebug,
As of this writing, I am on Plavix, similar to what you are taking. It's a blood thinner. I use vinegar and olive oil on my salads and it works out fine for me. There are many low caloric salad dressings in the market place.
Ask your grocer where thay stock it and try a few bottles. God Bless. Freddyg
