1 Angle Food cake, (diet if possible or make your own)
2 pints fresh strawberries, the more the better (mashed) save couple to put on top (more if want)
1 (8oz) Cool Whip (or make your own using cream)

Cut Angle Food cake into three layers
Put bottom layer onto a large size plate or serving platter
Spoon mashed strawberries onto cake layer
Put spoons full of Cool Whip over strawberries

Place the middle layer on top of above…
Spoon strawberries onto second layer
Put spoons full of Cool Whip over strawberries

Place last and smallest layer on top of above…
Spoon strawberries onto third layer
Put spoons full of Cool Whip over strawberries

Place the whole, saved, strawberries, or cut strawberries
in half…place them on top of this last Cool Whip top…

Makes a pretty and tasty diet friendly dessert, that
everyone will like…

Easier to make, with same ingredients…

Is a Pretty, Company Trifle

Have a pretty, clear, deep, dish…

Take the angle food cake and tear into bite size pieces &
place into bottom of above dish.
Add crushed strawberries over pieces…
Add Cool Whip over strawberries.
You will be able to get three of these layers
if your dish is not too big…
On the third and last row, after you have
added Cool Whip…place your, reserved, strawberries
on top, to decorate!

I agree with haoleboy on that one. Even Sugar Free Angel Food Cake and Sugar Free Cool Whip is not entirely sugar free. I would not eat more than a teaspoon of this based on what my numbers are (I would test before eating) or what I ate prior to eating this.

not sure what "diet" this would be "friendly" on. Eating stuff like that is what got me here in the first place … so …
stick with the unsweetened strawberries … you will be so much better off.

Angel food Cake is low fat but not low carb (even the sugar free Angel Food cakes don't have much fewer carbs than the regular). One twelfth of a ten inch tube AF cake has 29 grams of carb and that is before adding in the strawberries (1/2 cup fresh sliced berries = 6 grams) and cool whip (2 tbsp of sugar-free cool whip = 3 grams). That adds up to 38 grams…too high for me to consider it "diabetes friendly"…but definitely better than a brownie covered with ice cream, hot fudge and whipped cream. A more diabetes friendly dish would be just strawberries and cream, without the cake.
