Many low carb and ketogenic diets suggest either half and half or heavy cream. I've been using light cream in my coffee which is right in the middle, and it's heavenly. (I don't care for any sweetener in my coffee.) The coffee with light cream is so satisfying. I just can't wait for my morning and mid-afternoon cup. I use D&D's French Vanilla coffee grinds mixed with half Folger's Decaf. grinds. One traditional plastic coffee scoopful is perfect for an 8 oz. mug. Losing weight and loving the low carb life!

My unsweetened Almond milk is delicious in Coffee. Its 2 carbs per 8 oz cup. So if you use an oz. Do the math. Maybe .25 or 1/4 carb per oz? Unsweetened is hard to find (Trader Joes).

Try Natural Almond milk vs Vanilla flavored. You can find it anywhere. Its 8 Carbs per 8oz. So 1 Carb per oz that you would use. It gives your coffee a flavored cappuccino coffee taste too. It has 0 cholesterol, 0 trans fats and 0 saturated fat. It has protein, vitamins and potassium. Many powered creamers are high in fats, not to mention cream itself!

I use heavy whipping cream( suggested by Atkins) .The powered stuff contains corn syrup which isn't good for any one, diabetic or not. If you are a heavy coffee/tea /soda drinker the corn syrup may elevate your bs. Pete

We buy Coffee-Mate and they have some of the flavors in Sugar and Fat free. And the 'sugar-free' is for the most part, anywhere from 0-2 carbs per serving.

There is nothing wrong with using a couple of teaspoons of heavy cream to lighten your coffee. Just make sure that the carton says ingredients: cream! Some brands actually make heavy cream by adding junk to milk!

I am sorry, but I am of no help to you. I do not drink coffee, so I don't buy creamer. Have you asked anyone at your dr's office about where to buy some, or maybe someone at the grocery store where you shop? Just a suggestion. You might go to the dLife web site and find some information, or to WebMD.
