I added a news article, but this is extremely serious. Technicians are trying fiercely to find away to attack this worm It is considered so dangerous that it will steal all your personal information. Also, beware of free offers for downloads to free you of this virus, just go to McAfee, norton, symatics. The free ones offered, some of them are carrying the virus (conflicker worm) as well.
This is very important and should be read by everyone so you know what to do to keep yourself and your information safe. So far all I think I am going to do is disconnect from the web. I have not found any other resolve, and do have good security, but depends how long this virus has been sitting dormant, as the news reporters said.

That's kind of alarmist really. In reality the experts have no idea what it's going to do. It's been around for 6 months or so and has not been harmful, nor does it look like it will be, just annoying. All they really know about it is that it's programmed to search out way more websites than it has been tomorrow for further instructions on what to do. It could be that it will tell the infected computers to all go to the same web site which will crash it, it could do something else or it could just be a big April Fool's joke. I believe they say about 10-15 million computers worldwide are infected.

There are far more serious viruses out there, this one is just getting press since no one knows what will happen. It's very annoying and tricky to get rid of

What I have read it is really going to affect computers in foreign countries than the U.S. If you have an anti virus software, keep updates current, and surf on legit sites, there should be no problem.

Now they are saying that this worm was preset in computers and they are not sure. But they definitely are alerting every in the U.S. on all tv stations. Better be safe than sorry.
