Here is a good site on Glycemic Index & Diabetes. How to understand about good carbs, the low GI foods. www.diabetes.org it is with the American Diabetes Association.
Carbs are still carbs, however choosing the right carbs will help and learning about them. I was surprised to find some of my favorite fruits are hi GI and have to be treated only rarely now.
