The more I get in better control the better I am sleeping. Blood sugar this morning was 79. Went to bed it was 132. I am loving sleeping better because I do not need to take a nap during the day. This has been better like this for about 2 weeks now. I have finally after all these years found a good combination of pills that work. After coming off of insulin last November I was wondering if I would have to go back on because sugars kept creeping back up but I take 2 different pills and it is working. Doctor is pleased, I am feeling better than I have in years. I have noticed I am feeling better about myself too, which also helps in other areas too. Being diabetic is all about trial and error. But when you find something that works, it is a great feeling.

I am VERY happy to hear you are finally resting better. I am hoping I will get there soon. Today I finally got my C-PAP machine, its a new one too and I have to try and get use to it again. We shall see, I will try. Sheila

Both my husband and I use C-Pap machines. We've had terrific results, hope you will too.

I have never had this problem with my mask yet. My C pap machine also has a delayed start setting which i use all the time on start up. I don't use a mask most of the time though. Also have the plain nasal line hooked most of the time which works the best for me. I only go to full face mask during times such as, I have a cold or such that cause problems breathing through my nostrils. Also would like to add during my heart stress test at the hospital the cardiac dr told me to get checked for sleep apnea as my heart was extra large in size and this is a symptom of sleep apnea. He was unaware I was already diagnosed with it a few yrs ago. I was also unawear this was a symptom. learn something new every day. I always thought I had a big heart..lol. David

Here are some go tips I have on getting a good night sleep. I think I wrote these down in my book ffrom something I read in the paper.
* Stick to a schedule
* Avoid stimulants several hours before bedtime.this includes rigorous exercise, caffeine, smoking, and emotionally charged conversations. And alcohal "does strange things to your sleep cycle."
* Ditto big dinners. they are going to keep you awake. If your hungray at bedtime, have a small snack(milk, fruit, a slice of turkey) to stabilize blood sugar.
* Skip over counter"sleep cures"
* keep the bedroom dark, quiet and cool. Keep room at 62 to 64 degrees.

Also the better you sleep the better control you will have on your blood sugars. It works both ways.
