Today, March 24th is National Diabetes Alert Day. It falls on the 4th Tuesday in March every year. Several area's have ways of observing this day, with Walks, Support Group Meetings, and some state and federal organizations offer free blood glucose testing on this day.
Here is the link for the ADA which has much more information on this subject. Unfortunately there is nothing going on in my immediate area but with this freak blizzard we are experiencing I couldn't go even if there were, so, to help do my part I thought I would share this with all of you. It seems like this day is just dying away in some areas and it needs a pick-me-up again. It's time to do some thinking and talking and planning. I'm game for helping anyone get the word out

Diane, yeah true…good point, though it helps me SO darn much I choose to keep it regardless *sigh* for now anyhow.
Yeah, maybe we should push for some type of activity in our town. I probably could pull it off if I put it to it. Hmmm SOmething to consider. Sheila

Nothing going on around here either unless I want to drive 3 hours. Perhaps we could all push for activities in our area for next year?
