Detoxing can rid your body of unwanted substances, but it can also rid your body of wanted substances as well. I have used golden seal before to "detox" and was ok with that. No spikes or lows that I know of…

Good point made, what exactly is the the person detoxing from? I have had my share of partying in the past…wasn't fun let me tell you. Drinking/druging, don't mix well with being a Diabetic. Heck, in my opinion NOW a days it don't mix well w/ me and my lifesyle period anymore, lol. Good luck though, sorry wasn't much help though. Sheila

Depends on what you are detoxing from. Is is alcohol, drugs or are you trying a colon cleanse to detox your body.
If you can be a little clearer, I think we could help more.

Well, I have done some searching and found out that alot of the detox methods out there are very unhealthy for people. They can leave you vitamin deficiant and your hair can fall out, your skin becomes unhealthy. It is not wise to do a detox because the movie stars do it. When they do it, they do it because of a roll they have to play, which means they do it for a short time.
Eating fruits and veggies are the best way to go and water. Cut out the processed foods.
