We have been made aware that some users of Internet Explorer cannot reply to discussions. We are continuing to investigate this problem. However, in the mean time, you can download the Firefox browser here:

The site performs well in Firefox and you should have no trouble. Sorry for any inconvenience. Let me know if you have questions.

John, I must say thank you, this helps. I did experience some of this same thing yesterday. The other issue or concern I came up with is this; Is it possible to have individual's show up as friends or add you as friends if they have a certain profile rating? Yesterday, around the same time, I noticed that I had two new individual's that had listed me as a friend. I however, had not received nor responded to any messages from these individual's for an invitation to friendship.

I must say, I initially freaked a little bit. I am not usually so reactionary, but was just really surprised. Looking forward to hearing your reply.

Wow. This is the first we've heard of this issue. Of course there is the possibility that there's a bug in the system, but we designed the system to only create friendships when the invitation has been accepted. The only exception is Amy Tenderich and myself who serve as the community managers. Everyone in the community is automatically friends with Amy and me.

If you would please send me a private message to my inbox with more details about what happened, I can have our tech team look into what the glitch might be. Thanks for bringing it to our attention.

One issue we've identified that can cause problems with the reply window is having a really low screen resolution.

You can access your screen settings in your computer's control panel. If your screen resolution is set very low (800 x 600 for instance), try increasing the setting. That should clear up the issue.

The only time I have ever had any sort of a problem is when I am replying to a discussion that already has received alot of replies. Some discussions have had as many as 150 or more replies, which is good that people are using the site, but it seems to slow things down a bit. Other than that, no problems, just a little slow at times.
