Finally got a lead on what may be causing me so many problems. Doc suspects Gastroparesis. Will be going in next week for more extensive tests to know for sure. I went to Webmd and got some info but was wondering if anyone else has this or knows more about it.

Well, I dunno anything on this and I sure hope you don't have it by the sounds of everyone else though I would probably feel a sense of relief figuring out what was going on after two years myself. I wish you luck Becky! Sheila

I have gastroparesis caused by post polio. Now that I'm a diabetic It has gotten so bad I have a feeding tub for real bad days. I use fentenyl pain patches and oxcecodine for the pain. I pray you do not have it and if you do it will not progress as my has. If you want more info I would be very pleased to talk with you.

Becky, this is one thing I had when I got so sick a few months ago. They did an endoscopy and I had a large bleeding ulcer that had to be removed. That ulcer has been coming to see me for years so I figured that's what it was. I got full really, really fast when eating, felt bloated and had trouble going to the bathroom. It could be other things too, some depression meds will do it. They will just need to do some tests to find out. That was my experience with it. Good luck hun, Angie

I should have added that I can't determine if it played any factor with my BS. This was during the period I was diagnosed with diabetes and had several other things that could have caused havoc with my BS which was out of control. As for the pain, like Goddess, I have meds for it, but have been lucky and have not needed it. Hugs!

Track down Gabby, I'm almost 100% sure she has this same condition, if I'm wrong sorry but I am sure I read in one of her responses that she has this condition.

Thanks. I'm sure when this test is done I'll know more but was just curious in the meantime. I have all of the "known" syptoms. I've been having problems with my stomach for close to 2 years with the only diagnosis being Atypical Gastritis Which basically means they don't know why I'm having problems. I didn't have any problems with my BG's until recently so we're still not 100% on the diagnosis.

I believe Goddess also has this condition, as do several others on the site. There are other discussions on the topic that you can go back and review. Sounds very unpleasant.

Yes I have it. So far I'm lucky and just take a pill to calm the naueous feelings. It is true that it's harder to control bs with it.
