I plan on asking the members of the communities I host as well as other communities to start thinking of words that have come up in the past and now. Words that have either meant something to them or mean nothing at all but they have thought of.

The plan is to start a dictionary of words all diabetic members can think of and hopefully give definitions too if there is one. It not then make up a definition or background on the word. Like when you thought of it and the moment you thought of it.

Some words come to you during a low moment and that is when we want you to write those words down. Write them down with background to them and if they have a meaning or you think of one later then add it.

I will be setting up a page on the new web community at diabeticlifewon.com to place the dictionary in. Once we have all the words we need for the dictionary we are planning on printing it if we feel it is good and then selling it with all proceeds going to the charities our members pick, as long as they are diabetic charities.

So start your head thinking and start writing down the words. When you think of them send them to me at any of my communities. Come on and join up and send the word through a message to me or in a comment on my page.

Don't forget to let us know if we can use your name when we list the word and definition. We want everyone to get credit for their work. There is no limit to the words you an enter. Enter as many as you like until we tell you to stop. If we ever do that. Heck we may end up with multiple issues.

If you have any problems let me know and I will help you. Problems with finding a community or the process of leaving the word. Like I said we will be setting a page up on the new community and it will be on a tab on everyone's page.

The other communities will be drop off points to get the words to us.

Thanks for listening and get me those words and definitions.

Mark

Dont know if you want to use these, but the old standard "are you high?" for are your BS high? but sounds like "are you stoned" its a play on words. Im sure some like to announce that they are "High" to get a rise out of others who do not know what they mean.

Good luck with this project, Just a few, not mine, but ones I have heard that you can maybe use, T1 and T2, are abriviations of Type 1 and Type 2. Shoot up is used in place of inject. My wife asks if I am popping to ask if I took my pills. I cant think of any others. But this sound like I would want to know what others are calling stuff also. Please share.

I wanted to get this going again. With our new project underway Change The World "Global diabetic Awareness" I wanted to get back to this also.
Please put your thinking caps on and come up with some words that we can add to the dictionary we are planning. I really want to make this a fun event and the word can be from any area as long as it is diabetic. Sorry no outside influences.

So that means work hard can come up with some great words and meanings.
Thanks
Mark

No promises but I'll think about it and see if I can come up with something. I think this is a neat idea :)

Thank you.
The ultimate plan is to get as many words and definitions as possible by authors, place them in a book and sell the book with the profits being dispersed to charitable organizations picked by the authors. All proceeds will be split evenly. Until we have the entire book finished the words will be compiled and placed on our communities for review by everyone and for use by all for free. We are already setting up a Wikipedia on our communities for this project. If it goes well maybe we will have others.
