Sorry to all my PC was down for a few days but meanwhile I went to my heart Dr. and he changed my meds from lescol to crestor and 10mg of niacinamide with b6 50mg daily
There is a simple way to lower your LDL and raise your HDL, but most people don't want to hear the answer: EXERCISE!!!!!
I agree, but now I am wheelchair bound and I do the exercises I can. But I need to do more and I am doing physical therapy to strenghten my muscle mass. I feel once I do get more muscle mass and stronger maybe I can get off my zocor. I never had a problem before…Debe
I also take 250 TR niacin and a statin to help with my cholesterol. I also take fish oil (omega 3) and red yeast rice. It is funny, because when I didn't eat right my cholesterol was great. Now that I eat more fish, exercise 5 days a week and eath MUCH healthier...my levels went up. Thanks diabetes! LOL
I also struggle with morning highs. I still have not found the recipe to get them low. I drop all day long. I start high, end low and start all over in the mroning.
I am experimenting with eating a glucerna bar before bed right now. That seems to have dropped me an average of 10 points. But I am still very high in the mornings.
Another thing I am doing (but it is not a habit yet) is exercising after dinner. My activity level durning the day is part of what I think helps lower my numbers, so after dinner I used to just chill. So I am trying exercise too. We will see how that goes.
I take Zocor. I eat heathier now and with the medication and the new healthy eating mine are in good control…

I take Niacin SR to lower my triglycerides and raise HDL along with exercise. Lowering the LDL comes from exercise and I take a statin drug. Garlic pills helps some if it's not too high.
