I have a MM722. This is the only pump I have known, but I am pretty happy with it. I would have chosen the Deltec unit if they weren't leaving the market. I liked the features and the looks of it. The MM and the omnipod were the ones I was shown by my DE. Didn't care for the Omnipod because of the PDA. Looked at other pumps, and went with the MM because my doctor and DE were the most familiar with it. Also, there was a very local rep.

Do any of you who have the pump get it covered by Medicare? I have heard that they won't cover it, specially for type 2's. My mom is thinking she would like to get one, but we weren't sure it would be covered.

I was not able to get the pump after watching my sugars for 1 month attending a meeting with the diabetic educator and seeing the nutritionist on carb counting. After my bloodwork my A1c was low and my insurance wouldn't pay for it…Debe

I have had aa Medtronic Paradigm 722 since last September. Finally, I have good control over my blood sugars. I wouldn't trade it for anything. I love it.
