Today I had a package delivered by FedEx (Wizdom Kit for Laura and parents). Another package in the mail, free DissolvAway bandages from HealthyOutcomes website delivered by the mail man, and then UPS showed up with my free TempTouch thermometer also from HealthyOutcomes Rewards. This also came with a cd explaining how it works and a booklet showing where to test the temp of your feet and a log book to keep track of your foot temps in the 6 area's they say to test. All were free just for the asking and answering just a few questions, nothing too complicated and its nice to get free stuff that's also helpful. The only down side to any of these freebies was that the kids wizdom kit was directed for Type 1 kids but that is ok Laura still liked getting the goodies that came in the kit.

my last go round there I ordered the dreamfield pasta, it's only points and I figured if it wasn't something we liked I wasn't out any money, if we do like it then I'll know its worth buying in the store. Ordered an A1C test as well, I know I won't like the results of it but got to start (again) somewhere.

I love Healthy Outcomes. I have learned a lot there and go and do some of the new things when I get a notice. I have had a lot of great goodies too. I have the temp touch, and I use it every morning. I also have the bandages and got a call from the owner of the company about them, and I thought that was really neat.

More free goodies arrived today from HealthyOutcome site, the lancing device is neat, but, once it runs out of course I'll have to order another disk for it but thats ok, also got some raspberry flavored glucotabs, I've always used the orange flavored ones so this will be a nice change in flavor maybe.

My local Target store carries the refills for the disk lancets. They are expensive!! $12.50 for two disks and I don't remember are there 20 in each one? I won't buy that when lancets are cheap at about $3.50 for 100 of them on the same shelf.

I really like the foot thermometer, according to it my feet run about the same temperature and I have no hot spots. I've never been diagnosed with neuropathy but this is still a handy device to have around just in case.

I don't have any kids or grandkids to sign up for this, but it's good to know that there is a place where kids can get free things to help them learn about their diabeties. And kids are always excited when they get mail, expecially packages. Hopefully, by the company doing this, the kids will have fun and learn at the same time.
