Today any one of us might be overwhelmed with dealing with any of the things that go along with Diabetes.

Right now any person on this site could be extremely concerned about the economic crisis, medications, caregiving, pain, sickness, diet, exercise, obesity, testing, results of testing, depression, lack of information, too much information, being alone, stress, poor medical care, no medical care, not enough money, or even not enough family support.

Whatever our concerns…

Please, do yourself a favor and click on this link. It will take you to a short video that is quite incredible. I wouldn't want you to miss it.

Wow, I had not seen that video. It really does put you in your place. A positive mental attitude really does go a long way. I've got to practice what I preach more, lol. Thanks for posting this! Angie

His picture should be next to several words in the dictionary:
SELF-LESSNESS (if that is a word)

Thank you for this link. Sometimes we need a kick in the butt to remind us that things could be much worse. I'm going to forward this to my cousin in Florida. She has just been diagnosed as Type II and is having a tough time coping. Her Dad (my uncle) passed away due to complications from dialysis. I try to remind her (and myself) that there are so much more research and treatments available than ever before.

I had a teacher in high school that always used the same quote over and over any time a student in his class would complain about "petty" things…

"No matter how bad things are for you right now, always remember there is someone out there worse off than you are."

How true that is and another quote comes to mind that I have heard time and time again myself…

"God will never give you more than you can handle."

He sure made some of us much stronger than I think I could ever be because at times I feel my burdens are just too much, then I realize my "bump in the road" is just that, compared to others mountains they must climb.

Thanks for posting this…

I've seen this video before and it is very, very inspirational. I wish I knew Nick for those times when I start feeling overwhelmed with my medical problems or any of the other problems you listed above. But then I stop and think, why should I burden him with my petty problems when he was born without arms and legs. And then it all makes sense and I pick myself back up and go forth because I realize I am pretty darned lucky and blessed to just have the conditions I have. Thank you for sharing this video and I hope everybody on this site takes the time to watch this very short clip.
