I'm type 2 with IBS-C. I eat a ton of fiber and use the Glycemic index to choose my foods. As noted in another discussion, I'm mostly vegetarian now so the Glycemic index is not as important for me as all my food is low on there. But I would say Type 1 or Type 2 you need to eat a lot of fiber (whole foods like fruit, vegies, whole grains, and beans) and drink lots of water and get lots of exercise. Works for me (most days).

IBS as in Irritable Bowel Syndrome? (I haven't a clue what the -C part is though). I'm a Type 2 and I have IBS if it is Irritable Bowel Syndrome…

Ok I see what your saying, I'm IBS3, I suffer from both types, I guess that is why I didn't know there were different classifications lol. When I questioned my doctor (old doctor now) about my "constipated diarrhea" he told me I had IBS and put me on Lotronex and I drink Aloe Vera juice as well.
