My daughter(she is 23) went to the doctor the other day, The same one I go to and love. Anyway, her blood work said she had high levels of testerone and the doctor put her own metformin 2 times a day to bring it back it range. I thought that was so interesting. So daughter and I are both taking metformin(mine is a mixture, I take Janumet) and Doctor said since I am diabetic this might prevent her from getting it. Did anyone else know that metformin can be used for this? Plus I read today the Cymbalta, the anti depressant is now being used for fibromyalgia pain.

I take cymbalta for neuro back pain as well. Lyrica for fibromyalgia. the study reads for Cymbalta that in high 60mg. b.i.d it is suppose to help neuro pain. I didn't get a great amount of affect from it. I have chronic back pain due to multiple surgeries and rods and pins T10 - L3.
