I have been on bydureon and xigduo for 4 months and have lost 40 lbs and still losing! I started at 412 lbs, now 371! The only problem is the injection site leaves lumps, sometimes itchy that are slow to go away.

I, too have been diagnosed for 15 years. I have used so many Rx's (Victoza, Byetta, including insulin (Lantus). That worked well for awhile then stopped and my A1-C shot up to 9. For three weeks I have been on Bydureon and am doing really well. My daily numbers used to be as high as 383 (normal). Now normal is 110. I also take 1,000 mg of metformin and varying mg's of glimepiride twice a day. I usually get every bad side effect from meds but so far, so good. I do think it is a bit constipating as it says it can:( I'll take lizard spit, one shot a week any day over the rest!

I was on Byetta that is the daily dose and bydureon is the weekly dose I had so many side effects from Byetta that my endo was afraid to put me on bydureon but let us know how it works maybe I'll talk to her about it again I did lose weight while on it faster than the normal way
