I am so glad that Quintin is doing so much better. You can always tell when they are feeling better, you can't keep them still. Like John said, please share with us when you get a chance what all was going on and what you learned from this experience. As a mother of a child with T1, their ammune systems are so weak and you just can not protect them from everything, and it is just plain scarry to have to deal with illnesses that you don't understand about all the time…Take care of your self also. I will contine to keep you & Quintin in my prayers.

Tina

That is great news. Maybe when you're ready, you could share with us what you've learned from all of this. Are there warning signs you'll watch for in the future? Was there anything you'd try to do differently when handling a serious illness?

Just wondering.

John

Hope your son is doing well, John. Is he feeling better?

That's really kind of you to ask. He has bounced back very well. He was throwing up all night Monday night. We fought low blood sugars for several hours--probably the scariest low-blood-sugar episode in 8 years. Then we battled high blood sugars after that.

But by Wednesday, he was back to school! He's one tough kid.

This is great news. I hope things continue to improve and he is back to 100% really soon. But, it sounds like he is really on the mend, wanting to be up and around, playing, etc.

Wonderful news! You always know they're feeling better when that little bit of devil begins to peep through. Sometimes we're glad to see that, aren't we? Hope he continues to improve.

I am so glad to see he is getting better. Yep, you know they are getting well when they start pullng at the IV. Yes not only keeping him home from school is a good ideas, but make sure if you get company the don't come to your house sick. His immune system, I am sure is low and the last thing you need is someone there with a cold…Debe
