Thank you everyone for your encouragement. I took your advice and I tried calling the number back that was on my caller ID. Well guess what, it said # no longer in service. So Just Joyce I did some thing you would be proud of. I called my endos office. After explaining every thing to her nurse she got busy and and found out who had called. She gave me the new # and the name of the nurse at the neurologist office that had called. I called and explained to them why I was calling and they thanked me for calling and apologized for not calling me back. To cut a long story I finally got my appointment for ( get this ) next month. I don't know what my Endo's nurse said to them when she talked to their office but she really got them hopping. Sorry I didn't get back sooner but the main reason I didn't want to sit around and wait for another call was because I was supposed to get a bunch of lab work done here at my home doctors lab for her and I was fasting for it. So as soon as I got my appt. I went to my doctors lab and got all that lab work. Then my sweetheart took me out at this health food store here and bought me one their awesome vegetable pizzas so I wouldn't have to cook any thing, and also because he knew I liked them.

I have reported marxbarnes; that posted on my discussion post. I do not believe in SPAM in any way form or fashion. I just wanted everyone to know I do not support it.

HI Trudie Ann,

Great job of advocating for yourself! It's easy to fall through the cracks in the system and sometimes you have to be squeaky wheel. Excellent!

Please keep us posted.

And that pizza sounds good!

I am glad you made the call. As Jigsaw said sometimes it pays to step up to the plate. I rarely step away from it. I am ever vigilant. Always return calls from your medical team. They may forget to call you back. Even if you have questions call them.

I have surgery tomorrow. I was suppose to get a call from the pre-op office this evening. They never called me so I called them only to find they had gone home. My questions were answered by the recovery team. She told me to take my Metformin tonight. I have not taken it in a month. When I do, my Blood Sugar drops and I can't drink enough to bring it back up. My doctor said I was okay without it. I have to eat carbs because if I take a walk the soups and blended veggies was not helping me at all. It has been a frustrating month not being able to eat solid foods.

Sometimes it pays to step up to the plate. Looks like you hit a homerun!

I stay at the plate. Think I have hit more homeruns than Hank Aaron…LOL

LOL speaking of Hank Aaron, I always loved the Atlanta Braves and saw him play twice when I was elementary school age, I loved it! I Saw him his whatever mile stone home run that was near the mid 70s. My parents really wanted to see that. My brother still has his paper that says he was there for HA's, _ _ _ home run…like I said I can't recall the number and I lost mine. wish I still had it.

It's great that you took charge and called to get the phone number of the neurologist and then called for an appointment. Your sweetheart is awesome as well! ~Lynn @Glucerna

good to hear Trudie. I'm still 3 weeks out on my neurology appointment. Working on managing expectations … do not want to get my hopes up too high.

Congrats for your doing what you should do. :I am so happy for you that you got your appointment and yes, I know it's a month away but just like the call I got while I was out and about with my hubby today…July 16th at 11:10 PM for my MRI…yes, they do them pretty late in the evenings. Isn't that insane but at least we are on our way to finding out more about what's going on with ourselves. Hooray for you Trudie Ann good going! :) Have a blessed day!
