The economy causes me stress, the uncertainty of what is coming or not coming. I guess that would be considered being stressed at the unknown.

And actually, my blood sugar being high causes me stress. If you can believe that one!

Now don't laugh but I go out and talk to the animals, we have a working ranch here so every critter except sheep here, they are all in different area's of the ranch so walking between the corrals or pens or whatever relieves stress and is good exercise, I talk to the rabbits and goats mostly, the cows don't care to listen and the horses just want a carrot so they come to me for their own reasons lol, but as odd as it sounds by the time I make my rounds and come back in the house I feel so much better and its good exercise as well.
I also have one particular friend online I can tell anything to and know that it goes no further, I can vent and rant and rave all I want and she does the same with me, if we ever met in person I would hope it would be that same way but she is my other stress reliever for sure.

The economy is causing lots of stress these days. My hubby works for a car manufacturer(Nissan). They are on 4 day weeks at 8 hours a day. He used to work 60 hours a week a year ago. Anyway, I go for walks with my dauhgter and dog. I love to read. And I love burning my candles. It is so relaxing to me. I have kept my blood pressure and blood sugar in check.

i think talking is a great way of dealing with stress!!

theres been loadsa times when i felt over whelmed with, family, friends, work and college issues that everthing just stops operating and making sense.
Sometimes i feel the need to stop, sit down and talk about it!! Writing your feelings in a diary might help!! Putting your thoughts into logic onto paper might help gain a little perspective. you also dont get that feeling of "oh dear, im layign all my problems on you and you have your own to worry about!"

listening to music and cooking does it for me iswell!!

actually, i prefer eating, i am very frustrated! i think i will get a journal and talk to myself in writing, that way if someone is rude to me, i'll know its my own fault! your a dear girl! to let you know a little of how i am, and by sharing with you this way, everybody will know. there is a reason that i am the way that i am! nope i'll just keep it to myself, its best that way. i will say this stress is the number one factor for all the illness in my life and i know that for a fact!

oh dont get me wrong, i eat iswell!! i sneak food around the house, hide it in bags and in the car!! i eat late at night when everyones in bed and do all this without taking any insulin!!

stress is a killer, and how we react can sometimes also be very distructive!!

but i found writing is a good way for venting thoughts!!! try it and see how you get on!

and you shouldnt be afraid to be open on a site like this!! this is what is was created for!!

I love to do scrapebooking. But now with a broken wrist, I can't do it and I am going crazy with cabin fever. I thank the good Lord for my family and friends for all the support they have been giving me through my 2 years learning how to handle a new way of a different lifestyle…Debe

I try to relieve my stress by kicking off my shoes, sitting in my recliner with my feet up, close my eyes, and just listen to the quiet. I take deep breaths, and just try to slow things down. No noise, just quiet.

Stress to me is living alone and having no friends with already high bs. It doesn't take much to send them thru the roof. I now have and since May had this site to where you could have some of everything from the serious to the funny.

The best way I personaly deal with stress is thru my Tae Kwon Do. I find when I get stressed, if I practice one of my forms, or some of the various techniques, then my stress level goes down.

If I'm not in a place or position where I can do that, Such as on an airplane, (hee hee), then I try meditation or deep breathing.

One of my dear friends, also a Diabetic, has various nature sounds, (like a waterfall), on her Ipod that she listens to.

I hope this helps a bit.
