I am sure you all have touched on this subject before, but being new I was wondering if any of you rely on protein powders to get the maximum protein per day? I am not a big meat eater and have found an alternative egg white protein powder that is great.Since I need too shed a pound or ? this is a great source for me.

Yes, I have a can here. Many days I can't seem to get protein in me, but also need to watch the protein levels dued to kidney disease. But sometime I overdo it and forget eating protein so I ussually get told by my blood work if I need to get more protein in me and use that. My kidney MD ordered the can for me, but I don't use it much…Debe

I use wehy in our smoothies to help balance out the carb of the fruits. It is a great way to add proteins. So are beans. So don't think you only have to eat meat to get your protein. Nuts are a great source too, and if you have never tried are missing out on an intesting and tasty substitue.
