I have Gerd hiatal hernia as well. I do take Prilosec. It's not a good thing to have but you just watch what you eat. I also have type 2 diabetic. Sometimes it never stops but you just adjust and go on. Take care:)K

Sorry to hear of your discomfort! My mother went through corrective surgery for a Hiatal hernia. It was good for her. I, myself, have not been visited with one of those-so far. Please take care.

No msann; So far I haven't had any problem with it. I will say a prayer for you and also for Bug-14465. I know how hard it is that once we are diagnosed diabetic it seems that our immune system gets over taxed and other issues seem to move in. I hope your legs get better, I know you like to walk with your husband. Me and my husband enjoy that walking time together too.
Best Wishes

I have had the same hernia since my early teens, diagnosed type2 diabetic at age 38, am now 67 years old. As a teen my doctor advised me to always stand …doing dishes, a walk right after eating. I've done it forever and have never had to take any meds for it. My husband has the same hernia, slouches when he eats, lays back in his recliner after eating and lives on meds for it. Guess I'm lucky!
