I am a type 1 and seem to be feeling tired so much. I notice after I eat something, I seem to have more energy. But sometimes I have a hard time getting going. Does anyone else have these problems and if you do what do you do for it? Is this just a symptom of the disease?

While there are MANY things which COULD cause you to feel tired BECAUSE of your diabetes dragon, if you are constantly tired all the time something is very wrong!

Get a full medical check-up asap!

Do you do home blood testing? When tired, you should check, see if its the bloodvsugar biting you in the butt. Your profile does not say much in terms of diagnosis, experience with T1, etc. So, Im making an assumption here, hopefully Im wrong…

Wow your are scaring me. I have a GMS that I wear every day and test my sugar often. Seems I get tired right before time to eat. As soon as I get food, I seem to be better. Just hard to get going sometimes.

Have they tested your thyroid? An unbalanced thyroid can make you feel tired. Thyroid problems seem to go hand in hand with diabetes. My endo just changed my thyroid dosage and I seem to be getting better mileage from my insulin with better readings and better sleep.

I did have test done on thyroid, That was my first thought and test came back all good. So thyroid is ok.
