My husband has recently been diagnosed with type 2 and he is constantly feeling just awful. He is taking 250mg of an oral med and testing his sugar multiple times per day. He feels really awful after he eats, but that awful feeling really never gets better despite watching his sugar and carbs. He is also very thin and we're really concerned about his weight. Need help.

Howdy Saa

Sorry your hubby is having difficulty
I agree with Lynn below, have him referred to a RD.
Curious to as to which medication he is taking.

Since he is complaining of not feeling well after eating I wonder how he describes his symptoms. It could be most anything having to do with GI (gastro-intestinal) issues, so it might also be beneficial to have Dr refer him to a GI Dr to see what might be the problem.

Praying he finds out what is going on with him and that it is easily correctable.

I'm sorry to hear your husband doesn't feel well. Be sure to ask his physician for a referral to a registered dietitian who can help him figure out the best way to eat to manage blood sugar levels as well as maintain a healthy weight. Hopefully he's also in touch with his doctor about his blood sugar levels and how he's feeling. ~Lynn @Glucerna
