Hi everyone, I am newly diagnosed with type two diabetes and my doctor has recommended me to start testing my blood sugar levels. I went to the pharmacy and the prices for test strips were outrageous. They were like $70 for a box of 50. I have been long on the Internet and found some sites that had a bit better prices but still were over $40. If there is anyone out there that is in the same situation as me and has found a good supplier for diabetic supplies I would greatly appreciate some suggestions on where to go or what site to purchase from. I look forward to a reply.

Thanks guys

Thanks for the info, however I just went to check the site out and it looks like it is closed down. On the contrary I use a site called Your Diabetic Supplier. You can check them out here.. http://www.yourdiabeticsupplier.com/collectio... they offer a price match promise on top of their already low prices and their service is exceptional. If you mention you found them through Diabetic Connect they have a special and they will give you a discount. I found this out when I told my friend to try them and he did and told them he saw their company on a post on Diabetic Connect and he received a discount just for that. Let me know guys if you visit them and do what I said and it works for you. I just want all diabetics to find the best rates on their supplies since its a monthly thing that can break the bank if you know what I mean!

I have found the relion brand from walmart to be very affordable. Their meters are about 15 and 50 test strips are only 9 dollars. Walmart also has 4 dollar metformin. Relion has a brand of insulin pen needles, insulin syringes, etc, all for 9 dollars a box. Very helpful pocketbook wise when I did not have insurance.

I was in the same boat when first diagnosed. A friend turned me on to the ReliOn Prime deal at Walmart. The meter runs about $16 and the test strips are $9.00 for 50. The deal on the test strips is only available in store.
I have been using them for several years now and have found them to be reasonably accurate.

Oh that's a great price. My doctor gave me the freestyle lite meter so I'm using the freestyle lite strips and so far Your Diabetic Supplier (YDS) has had the best price but I might ask to change to the relion strips

Howdy Chris
I use American Diabetes wholesale ~ http://www.americandiabeteswholesale.com/?gcl...

I use a true test meter and I bought 24 boxes of 50 per vial and got free shipping. They've lasted me quite a while. I don't remember what they cost at that time, but I do remember them being significantly less expensive than the then current prices

God's best to you and yours
