Hi Everyone!
Time to admit that I have taken the worst hiatus from taking care of myself. Since August 2013, I have gained 15+ pounds and exercise was at a minimum. Not a proud moment here and now. The love of my life recently bought of us both Fitbits so that we can work together and challenge each other. I didn't even know what a Fitbit was. It tracks my BGs and A1C, not to mention it tracks everything else in my day. Now, I am eating well so that I can track calories (I love numbers). I am back to aerobics twice a day because I love to see the meter climb. Earning badges is fun too! I knew what to do without a techie device, but somehow I feel renewed and I am going with that. Anyone else using Fitbit? Have an awesome and healthy day!!

Any port in a storm, huh? My opinion? We have to do whatever it takes to gain motivation and stay on a good and healthy track.

It's great that you've found a tool that motivates you to exercise and eat well, and even better that you're doing this together! ~Lynn @Glucerna

WELCOME to Diabetic Connect
Sorry you qualify for this shindig, but since you do I'm glad you're here and are posting!

I don't have a fit bit (kind of a Luddite about such things), but if it is helping you to get back on track, that is FANTASTIC! Please continue the great work!

God's best to you and yours

We love our little Zips. They keep you accountable without the spousal nagging. While I'm only on a "maintenance" routine now, my wife has this habit of off and on dieting and fitness. Kills her when she sees me get ahead of her since the whole thing was her idea. We got ours as a free insurance incentive program and it reduces our rates when we report.
