ok everybody i finally had my fourth surgery last week that is one reason ive been away. started on insulin pump 3 weeks ago the medtronic revel 723 i love this thing in pump using humalin u-500 concentrate u-100 wasnt cutting it but i went from 600 units a day to 40-50 units a day one stick every 3 days and i dint even feel it yeah its great numbers 90-110 fasting 150-200 two hrs later then three hours later 100-120 its great everyone should pump the really nice thing is insurance covers everything 100% had to have doctor get a letter for insurance to give me 250 test strips a month as they only cover 100 and guess what two hours later was approved for 250 a month reevaluate every 12 months so happy i found this endo no more out of pocket for me her staff knows how to file all the npprwrk with ins co. a1c in jan 8.9 last week a1c= 6.7 oh yeah if you try the cgm it sucks and it hurts to insert and still have to test 4 times to calibrate so i threw it in the drawer and medtronic gave me a tester that talks to my pump

It's wonderful hear that you're feeling good and that the pump is working so well for you. ~Lynn @Glucerna

oh yeah one other thing every three days i take 10 min to upload my pump to endo and change site, reservoir etc. then i do my finger sticks before after bed and meals then hit bolus when i need to and the wizard figures it all out and gives me the correct dose after i enter either bg or carbs otherwise i dont have to mess with it
