I really need to start running again because I have dance team and lacrosse tryouts coming up. I get anxiety attacks before running because it makes me nervous and stresses me out. I am a slow runner and want to get faster and be able to run longer. Any tips? Any help at all would help. thanks

how about running a certain distance time yourself, and that will be your baseline try to beat that time when you run. I have got my time down from 35 minutes to run 3 miles to 14 minutes for same run. Hope this helps god bless, and good luck.

Ok lets see, practice, practice, practice, that always helps. Take your time and work into it, do some warm up and stretching exercises before running, then do some slow down exercise after. As far as anxiety, maybe you should try some relaxation meditation before you start your warm ups, and afterward. Even relaxation meditation takes practice. I know everyone is different and their bodies react differentso I hope maybe some of these ideas help. Best Wishes.
