Running and sugar levels

I have decided recently to start running more often , I usually run 5-6km at about 5minutes a km , but now i want to increase my training to about 8-12km because my end goal is to run a half marathon.I'm a bit anxious I'll go low while on these long runs . I would love to hear from some regular runners about what sugar level the start the run at , and if they carry carbs with them , as well as if their sugars drop a lot while on the run ? Advice would be greatly appreciated thank you x

My first question would be are you type 1 ot type 2. I am a regular runner and triathlete. I don't typically check my blood sugars before running as my blood sugar doesn't drop significantly when I work out. The only time I have ever had an issue was on a 30k and I didn't fuel enough for that. Since being diagnosed I have done 7 half marathons, a 30k and 3 marathons along with 11 triathlons with only the one issue.
