Diabetes saps out the life no matter how mentally/ physically strong one may be.

Just wanted to know how do you cope and motivate yourself for the daily struggle for existence ?

Hey wasted wonder,

Nice to see you. Sorry to hear you are struggling right now.

Here is a link to an article I posted awhile back on diabetes burnout:

This is a time to reach out for support, so I am glad you let us know what's going on with you. That's what friends are for.

Keep us posted!

I can't seem to find a motivation of late at all. I do the things I need to do like exercise, take my meds, watch what I eat...but I am not motivated at this time.

Bingo. I too do things just for the heck of it. Need to generate some motivation quickly…

I wish there was a button I could push. I think I am just so run down from so many things going on...I'm kind of in "don't think about it" mode.

My motivation is my Granddaughter. Everytime I look at her picture I think of her which brightens my day. I want to be around to see her grow up. This disease is controllable and I do not let it control me. It does suck however things could be worse. It's just an eating thing and I would rather be able to de physical things and give up the foods that are not really good for you anyway… Right?

I wish I too had grand kids … LOL but the problem is that I am unmarried till now. And to achieve your kind of motivation I would require a minimum of 15 - 20 years. ; D
Lol just kidding. Thanks for your post.

Actually for me at this point in my life with diabetes, I get up in the morning, thanking God for the new day and continue with my life. My need for dialysis is more troublesome for me than diabetes is.
