Hi. I'm trying not to freak out about this. I think I've got diabetes. Long weekend waiting on test results… One thing that happened was a week and a half ago I had a fever and in the morning all of a sudden I didn't need glasses. I've worn glasses for 40 years (nearsighted) and suddenly I can see fine without my glasses. But now I can't read things up close which I could before. Anybody else ever experience this?

I have worn glasses since 6th grade. I can see far away, can't see a thing up close. I almost had a fit when I was told I needed bifocals. Growing old isn't always fun.

Yep, just the opposite happened right around when I turned 50. Found out I didn't need glasses anymore when sitting at the computer or reading (but still do for far). Doctor told me the eyes can change shape with age and what was once a problem suddenly isn't.
