Hi. Just in the process of being diagnosed I guess. Don't have official word until two days from now. I have a problem with frequent urination for almost a week and a half. My urologist says it's a prostate infection and put me on antibiotics two days ago. No change. My GP is running an A1C but I've done the AccuCheck thing and my levels are all above 100 and the highest has been 175. Morning levels 107 and 145 so far. If the urination is from diabetes how can I fix this? Or is it fixable?

Howdy Clay
IF your frequent urination is caused by excessive Blood Glucose (BG) levels (It is not necessarily the only reason you have this symptom. See this article for potential causes ~ so get everything checked out by a MD)

IF it is caused by excess BG the only way to fix it is to lower one's BG ASAP. Determine what food and or drink is causing your BG levels to rise and cut it out of your meal plan. (at least for a while) and work to keep your BG levels down through careful meal and drink planning.

God's best to you and yours

Thanks. New to this. Pretty overwhelming.

Howdy again Clay!
Yes it does tend to overwhelm one, but I encourage you to take it slow and stready, and not freak out about it. Learn all you can about it but learn it at your own pace. That is why a place like DC is so good (for me at least). Lots of people here with lots of experience and they're willing to share it with us. Curious about something? Ask a question, in simi!ar fashion to what you've done already. I believe (and I believe others here agree) that the only stupid or foolish queston is an HONEST question which is NOT ASKED!
