I am a big breakfast eater who is trying to watch my sugar intake. The carbs are killing me, though. I would appreciate any ideas anyone has as to what I can eat for breakfast without loading up on sugar or carbs.

Suggestion: Egg (poached, coddled, boiled, or scrambled) add any low carb veggies to this egg to increase volume and, if you are really hungry, you can add an egg white, or scramble 3 or 4 egg
1 slice toast—whole grain w/1tsp sugar free simply fruit or something like that)
1 orange
8 oz skim milk

2: 1 cup steel cut oatmeal or rolled oats with a small handful of nuts—pecans, walnuts, almonds. (No more than an oz. and I usually count them to make sure they don't exceed 10 - 20 depending on the nut)You can add cinnamon to taste and splenda or stevia or whatever sweetener you use.
one small or half a large banana
one cup skim milk, if desired.

3. One mini-bagel spread with fat free
cream cheese and sugar free simply fruit.
One-half grapefruit (unless you are on
blood pressure meds, then clear that with
your doctor)
You can also have an English Muffin (Whole Wheat preferably) in place of the
mini bagel. And you can always eat low
carb veggies any time of the day, so if
morning is a problem, maybe you ought to
have spinach, or something green, yellow, orange or red. Peppers, broccoli, broccolini, etc.

Just because it is breakfast time doesn't mean you have to eat breakfast foods. Be sure you get some protein and
a little fat to stay less hungry.
Hope this helps.

I eat low carb and I eat eggs, sausage, bacon, ham, cheese, left overs from dinner(steak, pork chop, fish,)
And besides no one says you have to eat breakfast for breakfast. I even have a salad with chicken sometimes.
