It took me a long time to find it, but I found a clinic that has a sliding scale based on income. I can get my labs done for $13 instead of $250. It is a life saver. Sometimes the Doctors are not all you might want them to be, but it is a place to start.
Also, depending on your income, you can apply for your state's medicaid program. It takes forever, and even if they reject you, keep that letter. It can help you get some cuts on your doctor visits in some cases.

There have been a lot of discussions on this subject. Check the discussion menu on your left and I think you'll find some very good information. Looks like some of the discussions are already being brought forward for you. Check with your local health department or social services, hospitals, pharmacies, etc. Some clinics and doctors will accept you on a sliding scale (based on income), and there are programs for your medications (if you qualify), if you're unable to afford those. I'd check with the pharmacist for information on those, or just "Google" some of these issues. Lots of good info on the web. It is tough when you're uninsured. Hope you can work it out so that you can get the care you need.
