I just saw my doc about this. What I thought might be neuropathy in my fingers/hand was actually a pinched nerve. My doc said diabetic neuropathy starts in the feet.

I was also told the numbness in my hands/fingers was due to a pinched nerve. I was advised to take vitamin B-Complex 3-4 pills a day. It's not really helping. My fingers are getting more numb and there is pain. My doctor told me then it is probably due to my high blood sugar levels.

Yes it can be found in the periphery, that is your legs, hands, feet, etc., as well as your internal organs. I have a little peripheral neuropathy in my legs and feet and numbness in various areas of my abdomen which helps when giving my insulin shots (don't feel em). And yes, it can be reversed a little with good control, but not necessarily totally. Once the nerves are damaged they cannot be totally repaired.

There is also one that affects your digestive track so you do not feel when you are full or hungry, there is also one in the brain. I have it in my feet and I take Lyrica at night because it is so strong. My other pain meds dull the pain during the day.

Sad to say it but yes you can. I have it in my legs hands and the left side of my neck. I take Lyrica for it but I can only take it at night because it makes me lose balance and feel dizzy. I have to deal with the pain in the daytime and it hurts pretty bad. And I have only had it for 3 months.

Lyrica is for neuropathy, it helps with the pain it causes. It has helped the pain in my feet.

Yeah Lyrica helps with the neuropathy, it also helps with other pain like fibromyalgia and headaches. I take mine for the neuro. and headaches. It eases the pain a little.

Have you had this checked out by a doctor? I think that it is possible but needs to be checked out. I hope that you get better.
