I just have felt so tired and just blah today. My sugar levels are still doing well though. I tested a bit ago and it was 115. I just wish I felt better and had some energy. Anyone feel like this often?

Hey Softballmom,

I'm sorry to hear you are feeling so poorly. I just had to ask how you are feeling emotionally. Low energy can be physical of course, but it can also be related to emotions. In fact, low energy can be a sign of depression. Just had to ask.

I hope you are feeling better. But if not, you might want to have a talk with your doctor about diabetes and emotions.

Take good care of yourself, my friend.

Gary

I do have social anxiety disorder and depression and am on meds for both issues. I feel like everytime I sit down I want to fall asleep. It has been like this for a good year or more. Not sure what the cause could really be.

Back in December 2011, I was diagnosed with clinical depression and, as a result, had my B12 levels tested for the first time. The doctor found that my B12 was abnormally low and prescribed monthly B12 shots and a daily sub-lingual B12. By the following June, my depression had disappeared and I'm convinced it was due to the B12 levels. Have they checked your vitamin B12 levels?

The psychiatrist I had gone to see was the one who ordered the test…I hadn't been aware that B12 levels could be the culprit until then. It's something worth asking about…and, if that is the problem or part of it, it's an easy fix.

Actually that is not true in my case. Diabetes can make you feel tired, however, I am constantly tired because i am always doing something. I watch a lot of late night tv or pop a movie in the DVD player. I am up all hours watching tv and reading. This is my fault. Some nights If I go to bed early and don't watch tv or read, I wake up refreshed and rested.

One of the things to do when you feel tired is to do something. If you focus on being tired you will lay around and do nothing. I am not a do nothing person. I have to be doing something or I get bored.

I am also tired all the time. My worst problem

I don't focus on being tired. I focus on finding things I enjoy doing. I think that if you focus on the negatives, they drag you down. I will have plenty of time to be tired when I am dead. Until then, there is a lot of things to do.

I am tired most of the time but that is because I am up half the night reading or watching tv. I don't feel bad, just worn out. I ignore it and keep going. I don't let anything stop me unless I am too sick to move which is rare.

I get draggy when my levels are high, it makes me sleepy. So if you are having good levels, you may want to see what's going on. Your body may be telling you something is wrong
