We all come here with different needs and questions to help us better control our diabetes. I am just curious which part of this site helps you the most?

I use the log book…I just love to see those green blocks! Second, is the discussions, even though I don't post much, I find myself praying for folks as I read…so it's like a ministry for me too!

Am a "fan" of one of your admin experts.

As a T1, decades of experience(s) my needs will be different than my T2 cousins, our relative beginner T1 peers. But, I like Dr. Gary's perspective, whether I agree or not, its a novel and unique aspect of this site, none others offer, Dlife, Tudiabetes, the ADA sites, CWD, etc., etc…

None have experienced psychologists writing openly for them. Taking such an active part.

And being out in the "Alliance galaxy" of sites I see him on some important sites, like the depression connect site where he does yeoman's work helping people deal with their depression. Yes I agree, hooray for Dr Gary!.

I enjoy the discussions as well as the sharing of information. And some times its just a little laughter to a statement or joke. It helps me to keep on track with Diabetes and to check things out with my Doctor. So glad to have found this site.

HI Mary Ann, Happy Easter and Happy Spring !! Tonight we are having roasted Cauliflower. You roast it in the oven with a little olive oil, garlic, bread crumbs and Parmesan cheese. I love it, it's so good. I'll post the recipe if you or anyone else would like it, Rose

I agree with MewElla and a lot of others who have commented, the discussions have helped me a lot and I would like to think that at least some of my comments may have helped others. If for no other reason, at least because I understand and care.

Always liked to check out discussions and complications, since I have quite a few of them. However, lately it doesn;t do me a lot of good since if I post a question I can't ever view any responses, nor can I access my profile. This has been going on for months now and when I ask about it; never get a response, or at least I can't see it.

Sorry we haven't been good at communicating about this one. We are aware that some members are having issues viewing their profile page. However, we are having a devil of a time trying to reproduce it so that we can figure out what is causing it. We are trying. We just can't seem to find the issue.

I prefer the discussions. They give me a broader prospective, in general. I've learned quite a bit over the years. Sharing what I believe is good info and experience, is enjoyable also.

The Log Book is the feature I use most. The next most useful feature is The Discussions. The responses to my posts were most helpful and I've found a lot of support and information from interacting with people through discussions. One feature I do not like is Ask An Expert. I submitted queries 3 times and never got a response

jayabee52 2014-04-18 13:22:34 -0500 Report

Howdy Julez
I believe a professional mental health Dr may be in order for your friend, after, of course, an MD confirming that she is not actually pregnant.

God's best to you both

Information and articles. Diabetes is a fast-paced world and I love to get expert perspectives and information about what is going on. Also recipes. I love finding low-carb versions of foods that would normally be considered a poor choice for a diabetic. I have been trying to improve my D-management, and that has been very helpful in my efforts to eat lower-carb.

lorider70 2014-04-15 15:30:33 -0500 Report

Not much anymore. For some reason I haven't been able to receive responses to comments, and cannot access my profile. Tried to pass this info to whoever controls the site; but haven't heard back from them either.

I use the discussions the most followed closely by the recipes. I also enjoy the personal communications here. I like the videos, but I have not been in there for a while, maybe time to revisit.

I don't really know any other Type 1's. I like to hear from other type 1's and heard about how similar the issues and concerns are to what I am having.

news and ask an expert. I posted a question and out of three replies only one actually answered the question sort of. One reply was a finger wagging at me so that was not really a big help. lol Meeting others with diabetes is nice too! :o)

I like reading what others have to say about their Diabetes. If I can help in any way, or just tto read about their problems. Also to make new friends who have the same as me.Some of my other friends and even family who are not diabetic, just don't understand what we are goin g through.
