Hi everyone. Its been a long time since I have been on here. Due to the discovery of cancer, I have been on a long and hard road. Glad to report that I have beaten the cancer, I feel great! What I did find out by trial and error; if I kept following my diet, I was able to make the treatments bearable. I pray daily that all my friends on here are doing well. After I beat the cancer, I found my A1C was much more in range. Maybe the treatments and combined diet helped. Just wanted to let everyone know I'm back. God Bless

Weill if there is a silver lining to cancer that must be it. I am glad you are in remission. That is great. Good to have you back.

Hello and welcome back Friend, So glad to hear from you! So sorry to hear you have been fighting cancer along with Diabetes. Are you still working hard to keep the cancer away. Could it return? My prayers go out to you and your family. So sorry that you had to go thru that alone. Maybe you could share your cancer issue on this site. What is your A1C readings lately. Keep in touch.

Howdy Tommy, Welcome back! It is great that you beat the big CA!

Am wondering what your meal plan for cancer was like?

God's best to you and yours

Hi Jay. All I could say about my diet is that it worked for me. I was lucky enough to have a HHA that got with my dietician. I did have to increase the calories somewhat as I was losing weight with the Chemo. I completely stopped my sugar intake and went without. The HHA did the cooking as I wasn't able. I know some of the food was made to the Adkins diet recipes.
Also went to various resources in the County Health Dept. Got a great book called Diet in Disease. If I can find it again; I'll post the author. Great to be back Jim and thank-you again.

Hi Tommy. Sorry to hear about the cancer and glad to hear you beat it. Just gotta find the right combination, huh? I had a similar (not so critical) experience with my pregnancy and morning sickness. I had bad AM sickness with my son, who I had before D. On my diabetic pregnancy diet I had none. Great news!
