I havent been on here as much..I suppose I need to start taking my own advice,by being more active in my health and staying on top of my Diabetic-Duties..and remember how I suggest to laugh more ..etc etc…well I somehow forgot all of that after my last infection illness last month…

The biggest worry for me now is my AIC level is 9.7
I know Iknow…Boy I kNOW..
The second worry is that my sugars can drop, like today, to 30 and I cant even tell ANYMORE…and I know its not good..Im following up at hospital tomm. but cant seem to find a punch-line to pick me up…

…your friend Jeri

Hi Jeri!

Was wondering where you had been? Sorry that you have been ill. Any sickness is sure to drive one's blood sugar count wild. Hang in there and continue to seek the advice of your doctor.

Now, this probably sounds stupid, but when I am down, I go to my TV and surf the channels until I find a rerun of "America's Funniest Home Videos." The new ones come on every Sunday night at 7:00 PM and the reruns are every night around 6:00 PM on some channel.

Please don't think I am making light of your problems at this time. I just wanted you to know that somehow that show has something in each episode that makes everybody laugh. If nothing else, for a little while you can escape from your cares for an hour. I usually record an episode to keep on hand.

I'm glad you are back. You were missed.

hey! I'm new here my daughter has type 1 diabetes she is 10 and we have struggled with high AIc's also.I always wonder what more can I do to get it under control better,We've had a 11 LOW one morning and I've never dealt with anything as scary as that we check her blood sugar every 4 hours so that we can catch a high and fix it or a low and treat it before it gets out of hand, also maybe if you can check more often you will have a better control of B.S and start realizing lows sooner. In this daily battle it's sometimes easy to beat your self up, just be proud of yourself for seeing that you need to put in alittle more determination, that's a great thing because you love you and it shows by seeing and saying what you need to do so GIVE yourself a hug or get one from someone and just start okay? Forget about what you havent done or what you wish you had of done and say Today is the start of a new day and I'm going to do everything in my power to whip this thing into submission and be Happy and Healthy for the rest of my life!!Nice to meet you.Proud of you too!!!!

Jeri, knowing how important it is for you to find a ray of hope in your life, and a laugh in your hard; I feel your pain and wish for your health. I know how series infections are and high A1c level;, but please attitude means a lot, too. It is important to keep your health up. You get depressed and down, you feel less of whats' going on in your body and more darkness than hope; Don't give up hope? Put your spirit back in it. This just does not sound like you. Always Claudia (lol)
