For as long as I can remember I have had a Plantars Wart on the bottom of my foot. My Dad also has this. Anyone out there have one? I have tried many different treatments but it always returns. Any cures out there?

My daughter used to get them as a teen and the dr just froze them and away they went. Haven't been back since.

I had three of them show up on one foot at about the same time. My doctor looked at them and told me to let them get bigger and then she'd take them off. She had removed other warts from my hands before, so I thought it would be pretty much the same procedure of deadening the area and then zapping them with electricity. Oh…was I wrong. If you have never had a shot of Novocaine in your foot before you are in for a horrible experience. It is extremely painful. Then she cut the warts out and cauterized the area to stop the bleeding with electricity. I had trouble walking for almost three weeks. That was six years ago and they have not come back. It was also four years before I was diagnosed with diabetes. I don't know if the procedure would be the same for a diabetic.

Have you ever had this looked at? Being a diabetic and foot problems are a big concern. I would have a poditrist take a look and tell you what to do. The last thing you want to have something on your foot get infected. I am an amputee …Debe

I had them when I was a kid and the doctor always froze it so it would fall off. I don't remember what they used but I'm sure a doctor would know. It didn't hurt but it turned it white and then it would fall off and be gone for a couple years and then when it would come back they'd freeze it off again.

I was recently watching a show that taked about home remedies, you could try putting clear nail polish over the wart it seals it until it is ready to fall off, if not all gone repeat. Tried to get my best friend to try this but he refused, even though I promised to use a manly color. jackie
