I've been having a hard time looking for low carb snacks I can have throughout the day. Does anyone have any ideas?

Stephanie,
Thanks for bringing up this important topic. It is one that has been visited many times here over the years. You'll find some great discussions on the topic by visiting here: http://www.diabeticconnect.com/search?model_name=Discussion&query=snacks

Here are some old stand-by snacks at our house:

String cheese
Nuts
Sunflower seeds
Beef jerky
Sugar-free gelatin or pudding
Salsa
Celery with peanut butter
3/4 cup of air-popped popcorn
Protein shake
1/4 cup fresh blueberries
Pickles

Hope that's helpful.

There are all kinds of snacks and snack ideas out there. You have to go into the supermarket and find them by reading the labels. You can choose what you like and what works for you. Some people use fruit, low fat yogurt, nuts etc. I eat the fiber one products or the weight watchers snacks. They may not work for you.

Howdy Stephanie

I googled "low carb snack ideas for school" and got the following list of results. Admittedly some of the items on this list may not fit well, but there are a LOT of snack ideas which will.

I will leave it up to you to sort out which is which and what best works for you from the list here ~ http://www.google.com/search?q=low+carb+snack...=

Happy hunting and
God's best to you and yours
