But especially when I each fibrous foods. Anyone else experiencing this? How are you dealing with it. With diabetes I know you're supposed to eat three times a day but with this problem I can barely get 2 meals in. I see the doctor this month. I shared this problem with her about a year ago. Her comment don't eat too much fiber but fiber helps with weight loss so this is a catch 22.

Why not cut down on the fiber and add exercise. Fiber is filling and makes you feel full hours later especially if you eat a lot of it. I read somewhere that a lot of high fiber can cause gastrointestinal problems.

The fact of the matter is your doctor gave you great advice and you didn't listen. Find out what she says this time and please let us know. I incorporate fiber in my diet but it is not a lot and I exercise and still lose weight. If you control your weight with balanced meals and exercise, you will find your diabetes will be better controlled also.

Perhaps if you cut down a bit on the fiber in your meals, you wouldn't be as full and would be able to eat three meals? Some people find that drinking a beverage with a meal fills them up, and they drink beverages either 1 hour before or after eating. Let us know what your doctor suggests as well. ~Lynn @Glucerna

Lynn I think people go overboard with some things. Her doctor told her not to eat too much fiber. She didn't heed the advice. I have noticed that people wanting to lose weight often go to the extremes because they want the weight off fast. This can damage the body because the body needs to adjust to less weight. If you do things in moderation it is far more healthier.

Perhaps break up your meal into two smaller meals and eat them about 2 hours apart. If you are feeling full, then maybe that will help?

Have you tried a fiber powder like Metamucl? Do you have the same full feeling when you drink a glass full of metamucil?

God's best to you

James I tried the glass of Metamucil and was full for an entire day. My doctor told me that wasn't good for me. So I add fiber with fruits and veggies. Works out fine for me and I can still eat my required meals and lose weight. I hated the full feeling the Metamucil gave me.

I have the same problem. I finally got my Doctor to schedule me an appointment with an endo. This is one of the questions I will be asking her. It's a bummer that my appointment isn't until June, but that's the earliest one that was available. If I find out the answer I will post it and If you find out first please post it. Thank You.

I guess because my blood sugars are still kind of high and I'm ravenous all the time I wish knew how I felt to feel dull.
I think you should talk to your doctor about it

It's a new thing for me. At times I feel unsated and most of the time I'm good. Lately a few bites and I feel full.
