No matter what I do or eat, my blood sugar stays high, even when I adjust my Humalog. I am at a loss as what to do.

James gave you some good suggestions. Figuring out diabetes management is like solving a puzzle: we look at the available information (BG numbers, what and when we're eating, exercise, stress, sleep, effect of medications and insulin) and find clues on the best types of changes to make to reach your goal. Bring this information to your physician and diabetes educator, and they'll be able to help you figure it out. ~Lynn @Glucerna

The best that you can do it talk with your doctor.
There really isn't anything much a discussion forum can do for you in this case.

Howdy Georgiana

I take it your Dr is puzzled by this turn of events also? If you haven't discussed this with your Dr, that is your first place to turn for the help you need.

Since you have posted this discussion, I take it you would like some attempts to suggest some changes to what you may be doing. Would you please help us out and provide your Blood Glucose (BG) numbers for your fasting, for what your 2 hr postpradial readings. and your bedtime readings.

Then go through your day. What are you consuming in 24 hours? Do you keep a food diary? That may be useful to do if you do not currently. Please share it with us.

It may seem like we're picking you apart (at least I'd feel that way) but it is done because we care what happens to you.

God's Best to you and yours

James Baker
